Temporary Vendor Permit Procedures & Prices

Vending permits have became a common way for most cities that have major events in or around them to collect revenue. At Myrtle Beach Bike Week® depending on where you are vending at you will have to get a county permit or a city permit. We do not have the city permit info only the county vending peremit info and that info we have posted below.

If you have any questions the phone numbers are posted below to the three offices you will need signatures from.

Obtaining a County Permit - easy as 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... follow the steps. If you have any questions on permits please call the numbers listed below. They will be able to answer all your questions.

Step 1 . . visit our Zoning Department -- County Courthouse Phone NO# (843) 915-5490
Each vender must obtain a temporary use permit from the Horry County Zoning department. Zoning approval should be obtained prior to obtaining the Hospitality and Hawkers and Peddlers license.

Step 2 . . let us know if you're serving food or drink (required) Treasurer's Office -- County Courthouse Phone NO# (843) 915-5470
Hospitality fee is based on 2.5% of sales with a $125 minimum (cash only). A hospitality fee is applicable from the Treasurer's Office if prepared or modified food or beverage including alcoholic beverage is sold. If the hospitality fee is not applicable they will note that on the permit.

Step 3 . . get the final approval -- County Courthouse Phone NO# Clerk of Court (843) 915-5080
Hawkers and Peddlers fee is $100 (cash only). The Clerk of Court will sign the permit in issuance of a Hawkers and Peddlers license.

Permits are valid for a 10 day period only in the Spring and a 5 day period only in the Fall.
Permit must be signed by all three (3) departments and displayed in a visible location at all times by the vendor. ( Zoning Department, Treasurer's Office, and Clerk of Court )

Vending Permit Prices -- Horry County

One-Day Permit ---- $100.00
Three-Day Permit ---- $200.00
Five-Day Permit ---- $400.00
10-day Permit ---- 700.00


Vendors must also pay $100.00 for a Hawkers & Peddlers license. This is the 3rd step at the Clerk of Courts office to get final approval. There is a minimum of $125.00 to sell food or beverages in addition to the prices above. This is step # 2 in getting your permit.

The county charges a $50.00 fee to have a recreational vehicle and you need to make sure the promoter you are setting up with has the space for your RV.
