The origin of the Love Ride was in 1981 when the owner of the Glendale Harley Davidson held the Biker's Carnival that benefited the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Trail of Tears motorcycle ride is one of the largest Harley rides in the United States with over 150,000 motorcycles expected in attendance. The Trial of Tears Ride begins in Chattanooga Tennessee and ends in Waterloo Alabama which is about a 50 mile ride.
