Atlantic Beach SC

Nicknamed The Black Pearl, the rich culture of the Town of Atlantic Beach was formed of mostly Gullah/Geechee people, descendants of slaves who lived for 300 years on the Sea Islands from Wilmington, North Carolina to Jacksonville, Florida.

                       Atlantic Beach Bikefest

                                    May 21-25, 2009  

The festival inside Atlantic Beach is predominantly a family affair, with people of all ages coming to walk the streets of the town, admire each other's motorcycles, eat at vendors' booths and spend money on souvenirs. Atlantic Beach residents look forward to the festival in their town.

The Carolina Knight Riders and other motorcycle clubs came to Atlantic Beach in 1980 to help start the event in Atlantic Beach.  

Horry County and the City of Myrtle Beach, in the past, both have benefited from this event.  They both sell vending permits for vendors and allow vending locations to be set up Memorial Day Weekend.  

The dates for 2009 are  May 21 - 25, 2009.   
You will see different dates but this event is normally a 5 day event. 

Vendors should contact the city of Atlantic Beach SC, for vending opportunities at this event.  

Be Mindful of Local Laws
To name a few very Important ones:
1) Legal drinking age is 21.
2) No open containers of alcoholic beverages in vehicles or public areas.
3) Motorcycle operators and passengers under 21 must wear an approved helmut under SC law.
4) Speeding and seat belt laws are strictly enforced.
5) Thong bathing suits and public display of private body parts are subject to decency laws.
6) No littering.
